Karen was the Associate Director of Admissions for the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, where she was the lead diversity recruiter and chaired the Executive Committee of the Consortium for Graduate School Management. She also served on Dartmouth’s Undergraduate Admissions Committee for several years. Since founding North Star Admissions Consulting in 2012, she has helped applicants gain admission to the nation’s top schools, including Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Dartmouth, Columbia, MIT, Duke, Georgetown, Northwestern, the University of Chicago, the University of Michigan, the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia, Wellesley, and more. Over the last three years, clients have been awarded more than 10.2 million dollars in scholarships, and more than 95% have gotten into one of their top choice schools. Prior to her college admissions career, Karen was a civil rights attorney working for the ACLU, specializing in race and gender discrimination litigation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and a Juris Doctorate from the George Washington University School of Law.
